About Us

Rooted in Purpose.
Growing for Community.

HEALing SoIL HERBan Farm is a healing-centered farm incubator that begins where most programs end.

Our Mission

A healing-centered farm incubator that provides land access, agricultural training, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and wellness support — creating pathways to farm ownership, economic opportunity, and healthier communities for directly impacted and underserved individuals.

Our Vision

Grow from a community garden into a replicable farm incubator model that rural communities across the country can adapt — transforming underutilized land into places where people grow food, build businesses, and create generational wealth.

The Founder

Quianya L. Enge

Quianya L. Enge is a community leader with lived experience who has dedicated her life to creating pathways for those often left behind. Through her organization Beyond the Walls, she has built a supportive network for individuals and families impacted by the justice system.

After completing the Southern Illinois Farm Beginnings Program, Quianya made a critical observation: over four years, not a single minority participant secured farmland to continue farming. The training was there, but the land access was not.

Rather than creating another education program, Quianya took action. She purchased land and created HEALing SoIL HERBan Farm — a place where learning continues after graduation, where people grow food, build businesses, heal, and create generational wealth.

What Sets Us Apart

Where Others End, We Begin

Beyond Education

Most beginning farmer programs end with a certificate. We provide the actual land, tools, and ongoing support to turn that education into real farming.

Healing-Centered

We recognize that building a life in agriculture means healing the whole person. Trauma-informed approaches are woven into everything we do.

Reentry to Leadership

We change the narrative from reentry to land stewardship and community leadership, creating pathways to ownership and economic independence.

The Beyond the Walls Connection

HEALing SoIL HERBan Farm grows from the roots of Beyond the Walls, Quianya's community network that has been building bridges for returning citizens and their families. The farm is a natural extension of that mission — providing not just support, but land, purpose, and a pathway to economic independence.
